Configuring the Working Mode for Traffic Management
Context
The system supports the following traffic management modes: hardware and software. In software mode, the remaining bandwidth resources can be preempted but the forwarding performance is slightly lower. In hardware mode, the forwarding performance is high but the remaining bandwidth resources cannot be preempted. You can configure the working mode for traffic management based on your actual requirements.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run set workmode tm { hardware | software [ high-precision ] }
The working mode for traffic management is configured.
By default, models equipped with the SRU-100HH, SRU-400HK, SRU-600HK, SRU-400H, or SRU-600H use the hardware mode for traffic management, and other models use the high-performance software mode for traffic management.
