How Can I Export System Logs?
After controllers are successfully added, some controllers enter minisystem mode due to system faults and system logs of malfunctioning controllers cannot be exported from the functional controllers. In such cases, you can export system logs of the storage system as follows to help Huawei technical support engineers troubleshoot faults.
Some Controllers in minisystem Mode
If some controllers enter minisystem mode, you can export the logs of functional controllers or logs of malfunctioning controllers.
- You can export logs of functional controllers as follows:
- Log in to DeviceManager through the management network port of a functional controller.
- Enter your user name and password.
The DeviceManager management page is displayed.
- Choose
> Export Data. Select System Log and click All Logs.

- Confirm the information in the dialog box, and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation. Then click OK.
The system starts to collect system logs.
- You can export logs of malfunctioning controllers as follows:
- Log in to DeviceManager through the management network port of a malfunctioning controller.
- Enter your user name and password.
The fault page is displayed.
- Click Download Log.
The system automatically downloads logs.

All Controllers in minisystem Mode
If all controllers enter minisystem mode, you only need to log in to one malfunctioning controller to export system logs.
Export logs of malfunctioning controllers as follows:
- Log in to DeviceManager through the management network port of a malfunctioning controller.
- Enter your user name and password.
The fault page is displayed.
- Click Download Log.
The system automatically downloads logs.
