Impact on the System
NTP failed to synchronize time. The time synchronization function is unavailable.
Possible Causes
- The ntpd process is not running.
- DNS resolution fails.
- The network between the storage device and the NTP server is disconnected.
- The NTP service is abnormal.
- The time difference between the storage system and the NTP server is greater than 30 days.
Procedure
- Check whether the IP address of the NTP server is correct.
- If no, correct it.
- If yes=> Step2.
- Check whether the network between the storage device and the NTP server is normal.
- If no, recover the network.
- If yes=> Step3.
- Check whether the time difference between the storage system and the NTP server is greater than 30 days.
- If yes, change the time of the storage system or NTP server to ensure that the time difference is less than or equal to 30 days.
- If no=> Step4.
- Check whether the NTP certificate matches the certificate on the server.
- If no, import the correct NTP certificate.
- If yes=> Step5.
- Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
