Starting Rolling Back to a HyperCDP CG

Prerequisites

A HyperCDP CG has been created and is in the Activated state.

Precautions

• If a PG has multiple HyperCDP CGs, you can use only one HyperCDP CG to roll back data at a time.
• Host services have been stopped before rollback to ensure data consistency.
• If source LUNs of a HyperCDP CG are also the primary or secondary LUNs of remote replication pairs, perform the rollback only after the status of the remote replication pairs is split.

Procedure

1. Choose Data Protection > Plans > HyperCDP > HyperCDP CGs.
2. Select the desired HyperCDP CG and click Start Rollback.

   The Start HyperCDP CG Rollback page is displayed.

   Alternatively, perform any of the following operations to go to the Start HyperCDP CG Rollback page:

   • Click on the right of the desired HyperCDP CG and select Start Rollback.
   • Click the name of the desired HyperCDP CG. In the upper right corner of the page that is displayed, select Start Rollback from the Operation drop-down list.
   • Choose Services > Block Service > LUN Groups.
     • Click the name of the desired LUN group. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select HyperCDP from the drop-down list. Select the desired HyperCDP CG and click Start Rollback.
     • Click the name of the desired LUN group. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select HyperCDP from the drop-down list. Click on the right of the desired HyperCDP CG and select Start Rollback.
   • Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > Protection Groups > Protection Groups.
     • Click the name of the desired PG. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select HyperCDP from the drop-down list. Select the desired HyperCDP CG and click Start Rollback.
     • Click the name of the desired PG. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select HyperCDP from the drop-down list. Click on the right of the desired HyperCDP CG and select Start Rollback.
     • Click the value in the HyperCDP CGs column of the desired PG if the value is not 0. On the Protection tab page, select HyperCDP from the drop-down list. Select the desired HyperCDP CG and click Start Rollback.
     • Click the value in the HyperCDP CGs column of the desired PG if the value is not 0. On the Protection tab page, select HyperCDP from the drop-down list. Click on the right of the desired HyperCDP CG and select Start Rollback.

3. Set Rollback Speed.

   Click the drop-down list next to Rollback Speed and select a rollback speed among Low, Medium, High, and Highest.

   • When service load on the storage system is heavy, set the value to Low or Medium.
   • When service load on the storage system is light, set the value to High or Highest.
     • Low: 0 MB/s to 5 MB/s (without considering the impact on the system performance). At this setting, rollback takes a long period of time. This is used when the service load is heavy.
     • Medium: 10 MB/s to 20 MB/s (without considering the impact on the system performance). At this setting, rollback takes a relatively short period of time. This is used when the service load is relatively heavy.
     • High: 50 MB/s to 70 MB/s (without considering the impact on the system performance). At this setting, rollback takes a short period of time. This is used when the service load is relatively light.
     • Highest: Above 100 MB/s (without considering the impact on the system performance). At this setting, rollback takes a very short period of time. This is used when the service load is light.

4. Click OK.

   Confirm your operation as prompted.
