Managing a Clone CG
By managing clone CGs and establishing relationships between CGs and clone LUNs, you can obtain multiple physical copies of CG data. Each of the physical copies can be used separately for a specific service.
- Viewing a Clone CG
This section describes how to view information about a clone CG to manage the CG. - Modifying a Clone CG
This section describes how to modify the name and description of a clone CG. - Starting Synchronization or Reverse Synchronization
This section describes how to start synchronization or reverse synchronization. In this way, the storage system can start synchronizing data of source objects in the CG to target LUNs or copying the data from target LUNs to source objects. - Pausing Synchronization or Reverse Synchronization
This section describes how to pause synchronization or reverse synchronization when system services are busy. In this way, the storage system can temporarily stop copying data from the source object to the target LUN or copying data from the target LUN to the source object. In off-peak hours, you can resume synchronization or reverse synchronization. - Resuming Synchronization or Reverse Synchronization
This section describes how to resume synchronization or reverse synchronization for a clone pair. - Stopping Synchronization or Reverse Synchronization
This section describes how to stop data synchronization between a source LUN and a target LUN. If synchronization is stopped, the system only retains the pair relationship. When you start synchronization again, the system performs an initial synchronization. - Mapping a Clone CG
This section describes how to create one-to-one or many-to-one mapping relationships between clones and hosts. - Deleting a Clone CG
If a clone CG is no longer needed, you can delete it.
