Modifying a Clone CG
This section describes how to modify the name and description of a clone CG.
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > Protection Groups > Clone CGs.
- Click
on the right of the desired clone CG and select Modify.
The Modify Clone CG page is displayed.
Alternatively, perform any of the following operations to go to the Modify Clone CG page:
- Click the name of the clone CG. In the upper right corner of the page that is displayed, click Operation and then select Modify.
- Choose Services > Block Service > LUN Groups. Click the name of the desired LUN group. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Click
on the right of the desired clone CG and select Modify.
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > Protection Groups > Protection Groups.
- Click the name of the desired PG. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Click
on the right of the desired clone CG and select Modify.
- Click the value in the Clone CGs column of the desired PG if the value is not 0. On the Protection tab page, select Clone from the drop-down list. Click
on the right of the desired clone CG and select Modify.
- Click the name of the desired PG. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Click
- Set the name of the clone CG.
- The name must be unique.
- The name contains letters, digits, underscores (_), periods (.), and hyphens (-).
- The name must contain 1 to 31 characters.
- (Optional) Set the description of the clone CG.
The description can be left blank or contain up to 255 characters.
- Set the copy speed of the clone CG.Click the drop-down list next to Copy Speed and select a copy speed among Low, Medium, High, and Highest.
- Low: 0 to 5 MB/s. At this setting, data copy takes a long period. This is used when the service load is heavy.
- Medium: 10 MB/s to 20 MB/s. At this setting, data copy takes a relatively short period. This is used when the service load is relatively heavy.
- High: 40 MB/s to 70 MB/s. At this setting, data copy takes a short period. This is used when the service load is relatively light.
- Highest: 1 GB/s (with host services) to 1.5 GB/s (no host services) for a single controller enclosure. Data copy takes the shortest period.
- Click OK.
