Stopping Synchronization or Reverse Synchronization
This section describes how to stop data synchronization between a source LUN and a target LUN. If synchronization is stopped, the system only retains the pair relationship. When you start synchronization again, the system performs an initial synchronization.
Prerequisites
- Health Status of the clone CG is Normal.
- Running Status of the clone CG for which you want to stop synchronization is Synchronizing or Sync paused.
- Running Status of the clone CG for which you want to stop reverse synchronization is FullCopy reverse syncing, DiffCopy reverse syncing, FullCopy reverse sync paused, or DiffCopy reverse sync paused.
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > Protection Groups > Clone CGs.
- Select the desired clone CG and choose Synchronize > Stop or Reverse Sync > Stop.Confirm your operation as prompted.
Alternatively, perform any of the following operations to stop synchronization or reverse synchronization for a clone CG:
- Click
on the right of the desired clone CG and select Stop Sync or Stop Reverse Sync.
- Click the name of the clone CG. In the upper right corner of the page that is displayed, click Operation and then select Stop Sync or Stop Reverse Sync.
- Choose Services > Block Service > LUN Groups.
- Click the name of the desired LUN group. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Select the desired clone CG and choose Synchronize > Stop or Reverse Sync > Stop.
- Click the name of the desired LUN group. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Click
on the right of the desired clone CG and select Stop Sync or Stop Reverse Sync.
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > Protection Groups > Protection Groups.
- Click the name of the desired PG. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Select the desired clone CG and choose Synchronize > Stop or Reverse Sync > Stop.
- Click the name of the desired PG. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Click
on the right of the desired clone CG and select Stop Sync or Stop Reverse Sync.
- Click the value in the Clone CGs column of the desired PG if the value is not 0. On the Protection tab page, select Clone from the drop-down list. Select the desired clone CG and choose Synchronize > Stop or Reverse Sync > Stop.
- Click the value in the Clone CGs column of the desired PG if the value is not 0. On the Protection tab page, select Clone from the drop-down list. Click
