Modifying a HyperMetro Pair
This operation enables you to modify the data synchronization speed and recovery policy of a HyperMetro pair.
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > LUNs.
- Click the HyperMetro Pairs tab. Click
to the right of a HyperMetro pair and click Modify.
The Modify HyperMetro Pair page is displayed.
You can also click the name of a HyperMetro pair. In the upper right corner of the page that is displayed, select Modify from the Operation drop-down list.
- Modify properties of the HyperMetro pair.Table 12-5 describes the parameters.Table 12-5 HyperMetro pair parameters
Parameter
Description
Speed
Data synchronization speed of the HyperMetro pair. Possible values are as follows:- Low: Data synchronization takes a relatively long period of time. This value is used when the service load is heavy. The speed is normally from 0 MB/s to 5 MB/s.
- Medium: Data synchronization takes a relatively short period of time. This value is used when the service load is relatively heavy. The speed is normally from 10 MB/s to 20 MB/s.
- High: Data synchronization takes a short period of time. This value is used when the service load is relatively light. The speed is normally from 20 MB/s to 70 MB/s.
- Highest: Data synchronization takes the shortest period of time. This value is used when the service load is light. The speed is normally above 100 MB/s.
- Custom: User-defined synchronization speed. The value ranges from 1 MB/s to 1024 MB/s.
Recovery Policy
Indicates whether the system automatically starts synchronization after HyperMetro faults are rectified.
- Automatic: The system automatically synchronizes data.
- Manual: Data must be synchronized manually.
- Click OK.
If Speed is set to Highest, confirm the operation as prompted.
