Switching the Preferred Site for a HyperMetro Pair
This operation enables you to switch the preferred site for a HyperMetro pair. If a fault occurs, the preferred site continues providing services.
Prerequisites
Running Status of a HyperMetro pair is Normal, Synchronizing, To be synchronized, Force started, or Paused (The connection of devices is normal).
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > LUNs.
- Click the HyperMetro Pairs tab. Select the desired HyperMetro pair, and click Preferred Site Switchover.Confirm your operation as prompted.
You can also switch the preferred site for a HyperMetro pair as follows:
- Click
on the right of the desired HyperMetro pair and select Preferred Site Switchover.
- Click the name of the desired HyperMetro pair. In the upper right corner of the page that is displayed, select Preferred Site Switchover from the Operation drop-down list.
- Choose Services > Block Service > LUNs. Click the name of the desired LUN. On the page that is displayed on the right, click the Protection tab, and then select HyperMetro from the drop-down list. Select the desired HyperMetro pair and choose More > Preferred Site Switchover.
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > LUNs > LUNs.
- Click the name of the desired LUN. On the page that is displayed on the right, click the Protection tab, and then select HyperMetro from the drop-down list. Select the desired HyperMetro pair and choose More > Preferred Site Switchover.
- If the value of HyperMetro Pairs is not 0, click the value. Select the desired HyperMetro pair and choose More > Preferred Site Switchover.
- Click
on the right of the desired HyperMetro pair and select Preferred Site Switchover.
