Synchronizing a HyperMetro CG
This section describes how to synchronize all HyperMetro pairs in a CG, ensuring the consistency of data on local and remote devices at the synchronization point and protecting the data validity of LUNs.
Prerequisites
Running Status of a HyperMetro CG is Normal, Paused, To be synchronized, or Force started.
Context
If controllers of storage systems reset during the synchronization of a HyperMetro CG, the synchronization of some HyperMetro pairs may fail. As a result, data consistency of LUNs cannot be ensured.
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > Protection Groups.
- Click the HyperMetro CGs tab. Select the HyperMetro CG that you want to synchronize and click Synchronize.Confirm your operation as prompted.
You can also perform the following operations to synchronize a HyperMetro CG:
- Click
on the right of the desired HyperMetro CG and select Synchronize.
- Click the name of the desired HyperMetro CG. In the upper right corner of the page that is displayed, click Operation and select Synchronize.
- Choose Services > Block Service > LUN Groups. Click the name of the desired LUN group. On the page that is displayed on the right, click the Protection tab, and then select HyperMetro from the drop-down list. Select the desired HyperMetro CG and click Synchronize.
