Creating a LUN
After creating a storage pool, you must create LUNs in it and map the LUNs to hosts. This allows the hosts to use the storage resources provided by the storage pool. Create a LUN first if none exists in the storage pool.
Prerequisites
A storage pool has been created.
Description
- To create a LUN, log in to DeviceManager and choose Services > Block Service > LUNs.
- You only need to create a local LUN on one storage system. When Pair Creation is set to Automatic, HyperMetro automatically creates a remote LUN on the other storage system.
- You can configure the mapping for the local LUN when creating it or after creating the HyperMetro pair. The mapping for the remote LUN must be configured after the HyperMetro pair is created.
- For details on how to create LUNs, see the OceanStor Dorado 6.0.0 Basic Storage Service Configuration Guide.
