Adding an Authentication User
The super administrator can create users of different levels based on service requirements to restrict users' operations on a storage system, ensuring the stability of the service system and the security of service data. By performing this operation, you can add a user to authenticate the remote storage device.
If a remote storage device has been added to the local storage device, you cannot perform the following operations for an authentication user on the remote storage device: Offline (setting the authentication user to be offline), Lock (locking the authentication user), Modify Password Next Login (modifying the password of the authentication user upon the next login), Password Always Valid (setting the password of the authentication user to be always valid), Initialize Password (initializing the password of the authentication user), and Delete (deleting the authentication user). Otherwise, the replication links used by the remote storage device will fail to be recovered upon next authentication, even adversely affecting HyperReplication and HyperMetro services.
Procedure

- Choose Settings > User and Security > Users and Roles > Users.
