Exporting Performance Data
You can obtain real-time performance data from a running storage system. In addition, you can export the specified performance data using the data export function of DeviceManager. When performance decreases, the exported performance data can help you locate faults.
Procedure
- Go to the Create Task dialog box.
- Choose Insight > Report Export.
- Click Create.
The Create Task dialog box is displayed.

Description
Value
Task Name
Name of a report task.
The value is a string of 1 to 31 characters containing only letters, digits, periods (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-).
Period
Time period during which statistics are collected in the report task.
The value can be Last 60 min, Last day, Last week, Last month, Last year, or Custom.
If you select Custom, you can set the start time and end time.
Format
Export format of a report.
The report can be exported in CSV or PDF format.
Max. Reports
Maximum number of copies of performance reports that can be saved when the performance reports are exported according to the preset export frequency.
The value ranges from 1 to 30.
Export Language
Language in which a report is exported.
The value can be Chinese or English.

Parameter
Description
Report Type
The value can be Performance or Capacity.
Data Value
The value can be Avg or Max.
Object Type
Specific objects whose performance data needs to be exported are storage objects that can be monitored, such as arrays and controllers.
You can select Custom or All according to the object type.
- Custom: Select the objects whose performance data you want to export.
- All: No manual selection is required.
Object Instance
If Custom is selected for Object Type, you need to manually add the objects whose performance data needs to be exported, for example, CTE0.A and CTE0.B.
Sort By
Select an important performance metric and select Top 5, Top 10, Top 16, Bottom 5, Bottom 10, or Bottom 16 for exporting the performance metric.
Statistical Metric
Select performance metrics you want to export.
- Set advanced parameters. In the upper right corner of the Create Task dialog box, select Advanced.
- Select By Day, By Week, or By Month for Export Frequency.
- In Export Time, select the time when the report is exported.
- In Time Range, specify the time range during which the task of exporting the report is executed.
- Click OK.
Follow-up Procedure
- After the task is created, data is exported based on the settings of Export Frequency, Export Time, and Period. Alternatively, you can choose
> Run or click Run to export the data once. Then, data is exported based on the settings of Export Frequency, Export Time, and Period.
- After the data is exported, you can view information about the exported data in the Report Export table. Click the number under Reports to view the report details, select the report to be exported, and click Download.
After the download is complete, you can click Delete to delete unnecessary reports.
