Removing the Module with Rear Drives and PCIe Card
Procedure
- Power off the server.

- Remove the power cables from the PSUs.

- Remove the server.

- Place the server on the ESD workstation.
- Remove the chassis cover.

- Determine the position of the module with rear drives and PCIe card.
- Remove cables from the module with rear drives and PCIe card.

- Remove all drives from the module with rear drives and PCIe card.
For details, see Removing a SAS/SATA Drive.
- Remove the module with rear drives and PCIe card.
- Loosen the screws that secure the module with rear drives and PCIe card. See (1) and (2) in Figure 6-137.
- Lift the module with rear drives and PCIe card. See (3) in Figure 6-137.
- Remove the PCIe card from the module with rear drives and PCIe card.

- Place the removed component in an ESD bag.
