Installing the Module with Rear Drives and PCIe Card
Procedure
- Power off the server.
For details, see Power-Off Procedure.
- Remove the power cables from the PSUs.
For details, see Removing PSU Cables.
- Remove the server.
For details, see Removing the Server.
- Place the server on the ESD workstation.
- Remove the chassis cover.
For details, see Removing the Chassis Cover.
- Take the spare part out of its ESD bag.
- Install the PCIe card in the module with rear drives and PCIe card.

- Determine the position of the module with rear drives and PCIe card.
- Install the module with rear drives and PCIe card.
- Install the module with rear drives and PCIe card in the chassis. See (1) in Figure 8-136.
- Tighten the screws that secure the module with rear drives and PCIe card. See (2) and (3) in Figure 8-136.
- Install drives in the module with rear drives and PCIe card.

- Connect cables to the module with rear drives and PCIe card.

- Install the chassis cover.

- Install the server.

- Connect the power cables to the PSUs.

- Power on the server.

- Log in to the iBMC WebUI, and check whether the new component is normal.
