What Should I Do If Decompression Failed During the Software Package Installation?
Symptom
During the software package installation, the error message "Extraction failed" or "Decompression failed" is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-8.
Possible Causes
The system does not have the tar tool package.
Run the tar command. If the following information is displayed, the tar tool package is missing.
-bash: tar: command not found
Solution
Install the tar tool of the corresponding operating system.
