Manually Configuring the RAID (SAS3152)
Before installing the operating system, configure the RAID for the server to improve storage performance and data security of the disks. 2288X V5 servers with the SAS3152 RAID controller card do not support RAID configuration on the iBMC WebUI. This section uses Huawei 2288X V5 servers (six disks) as an example to describe how to configure RAID on the BIOS UI.
Impact on the System
You need to restart the server to access the configuration management page, which will interrupt services on the server.
Prerequisites
Perform the following steps to check whether the RAID controller card model is SAS3152:
- Log in to the iBMC web management page.
- In the address box of a browser, enter the iBMC address in the format of https://IP address of the iBMC management network port on the server. The default address is https://192.168.2.100.
- Press Enter. The iBMC login page is displayed.
- If the browser displays There is a problem with this website's security certificate., click Continue to this website (not recommended).
- If the Security Alert dialog box indicating a certificate error is displayed, click Yes.
- On the iBMC login page, enter the user name and password, and select Local iBMC from the Domain drop-down list. Click Log In. The Home page is displayed.
- The default user name is Administrator. For the preset password, see the device documentation. (Support: https://support.huawei.com/carrier/docview!docview?nid=DOC1100620242; Support-E: https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/doc/EDOC1100124493).
- If you enter incorrect passwords for five consecutive times, the system will lock your account. Wait for five minutes and log in again.
- On the iBMC Home page, choose System from the menu bar. In the navigation pane, choose Storage Management to view the model of the current RAID controller card.
