What Can I Do If the Following Message Is Displayed During GUI Login of the SUSE 12: Sorry, you have to log out a previous session first. Multiple logins are not supported
Question
Log in to the SUSE12 SP2 through the local GUI (iBMC and VM background) or remote VNC, enter the user name and password, and click the login button. The error information "Sorry, you have to log out a previous session first. Multiple logins are not supported." is displayed.
Answer
The SUSE12 does not allow a user to log in to the system through the remote VNC and local GUI at the same time. Or, a user has log in to the Linux operating system through the remote VNC and has not set the session sharing.
- Contact the server administrator and check whether another user has logged in to the Linux operating system.
- If yes and the current login user can be logged out, log out the current user.
- If no or the current login user cannot be logged out, run the following command in the command terminal to restart the VNCManager service.
The command for restarting the VNCManager service will terminate logged in user sessions and processes. Ensure that important operations such as installation, upgrade, and restoration of the database are not performed when the command is executed.
# systemctl restart vncmanager.service
# systemctl restart display-manager.service
- Log in to the system again through the GUI.
If the following information is displayed, wait for 30 seconds and log in to the system again.
