Logging In to the Remote Control Interface of the Server (iBMC Earlier Than V561)
Prerequisites
The local PC that uses the remote control function must have the Java runtime environment (JRE) and the browser of the required version. For details, see the corresponding iBMC user guide.
Procedure
- Obtain the following data:
- IP address and subnet mask of the iBMC management network port
- User name and password for logging in to the iBMC
- Configure the login environment.
- Connect the network port on a PC to the iBMC management network port of the server using a network cable.
- Ensure that the client can access the IP address of the iBMC management network port.
- Log in to the server management page.
- Open Internet Explorer, enter the IP address of the iBMC management network port in the address box, and press Enter.
URL format: http://IP address of the iBMC management network port
Enter an IPv6 address in brackets or an IPv4 address directly. Examples:
- IPv4 address: 192.168.2.100
- [IPv6 address]: [fc00::64]
The iBMC login page is displayed, as shown in Figure A-1.
- If Internet Explorer displays a certificate error, click Continue to this website (not recommended).
- If the Security Alert dialog box indicating a certificate error is displayed, click Yes.
- On the login page, set the parameters as follows:
- Select a language.
- Enter your user name and password.
The default username for logging in to the iBMC system is Administrator, and the default password is Admin@9000.
- Select This iBMC from the Domain drop-down list box.
- Click Log In, the iBMC WebUI is displayed.
- Open Internet Explorer, enter the IP address of the iBMC management network port in the address box, and press Enter.
- Open the remote virtual console.
- Choose Remote Console on the menu bar.
The Remote Console page is displayed, as shown in Figure A-2.
- On the Remote Console page, select HTML5 Integrated Remote Console or Java Integrated Remote Console in exclusive or shared mode.
The Remote Virtual Console window is displayed, as shown in Figure A-3 or Figure A-4.
- Choose Remote Console on the menu bar.
