Installing PDUs for IDS Cabinets
This operation applies to both IDS1000 and IDS2000 cabinets.
Installing PDUs for an IDS1000 Cabinet
To supply power to the components inside an IDS1000 cabinet, first install the PDU installation plate on the cabinet, and then install the PDU vertically on the PDU installation plate.
Prerequisites
- The cabinet has been installed.
- All required tools have been prepared, including a Phillips screwdriver, M6 screws, M5 self-tapping screws, ladders, and protective gloves.
When Two IDS1000 Cabinets Are Connected
- Wear protective gloves.
- Install the PDU installation plate.
- Align the holes of the PDU installation plate with the holes on the rear of the IDS1000 cabinet, as shown in Table 4-19.

- Use the Phillips screwdriver and four M5 self-tapping screws (two on the top and two on the bottom) to fix each PDU installation plate into the holes.
- Align the holes of the PDU installation plate with the holes on the rear of the IDS1000 cabinet, as shown in Table 4-19.
- Install a PDU.
- Connect the ground cable of the PDU to the cabinet.
- Fasten the ground cable of the PDU to a ground screw hole on the cabinet using a ground screw.
- Repeat Step 4.1 to connect the ground cables of other PDUs.
When Three IDS1000 Cabinets Are Connected
- Install the PDU installation plate.
- Confirm which cabinet the PDU installation plate should be installed on and the number of PDU installation plates.
- Align the holes of the PDU installation plate with the holes on the rear of the IDS1000 cabinet, as shown in Table 4-20.

- Repeat Step 3.1 to connect the ground cables of other PDUs.
Installing the PDU for an IDS2000 Cabinet
To supply power to the components inside an IDS2000 cabinet, first install the power distribution unit (PDU) installation plate on the cabinet, and then install the PDU vertically on the PDU installation plate.
Prerequisites
- The cabinet has been installed.
- All required tools have been prepared, including a Phillips screwdriver, M6 screws, M5 self-tapping screws, ladders, and protective gloves.
- (Optional) If there is a side installation plate, cable manager, or cable ring on the IDS2000 cabinet, remove it.
- Install the PDU installation plate.
- Confirm which cabinet the PDU installation plate should be installed on and the number of PDU installation plates.
- Align the holes of the PDU installation plate with the 4th holes (from left to right) on the rear of the IDS2000 cabinet, as detailed in Figure 4-57.
- Use the Phillips screwdriver and three M5 self-tapping screws (one on the top, one in the middle, and one on the bottom) to fix the PDU installation plate into the holes.
- Install the PDU.
- Connect the ground cable of the PDU. Fasten the ground cable of the PDU to a ground screw hole on the cabinet using a ground screw.
