Deleting a SmartErase Task
This operation enables you to delete a SmartErase task after data destruction is completed.
Precautions
After you delete a SmartErase task for a LUN, it is advised to delete this LUN. If you continue to use this LUN and configure value-added services for it, the services may be abnormal. Before deleting this LUN, verify that the data on it is useless or has been backed up.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Provisioning >
LUN.
- Select the LUN whose SmartErase task you want to delete and choose More > Delete SmartErase Task.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation, and click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click OK.
