Replacing an AC Power Module (Applicable to 1288H V5)
This section describes how to replace an AC power module.
Prerequisites
- When two power modules are configured, remove one power module without powering off the quorum server if the other power module is operating properly and its power rating is greater than or equal to the rated power of the quorum server.
- You have determined the position on the quorum server for removing a power module.
- You have obtained the cabinet number and chassis number of the quorum server.
- You have located the quorum server based on the preceding information, and labeled its panel to prevent misoperations.
- A spare part is on hand.
Tools and Materials
- ESD gloves or ESD wrist strap
- Packaging materials, for example, an ESD bag
Procedure
- (Optional) If only one power module is configured, power off the quorum server.
- Remove the AC power module.
- Open the cable tie for the power cable. See Figure 8-131.
- Remove the power cable from the power module to be replaced. See Figure 8-132.
- Press the spring on the power module in the arrow direction, and pull the power module out of the slot while holding the handle. See steps (1) and (2) in Figure 8-133.
- Place the removed power module in an ESD bag.
- Install the AC power module.
- Take the spare part out of its ESD bag.
- Push the spare part along the guide rails into a slot until you hear a click.Spare part spring snaps into the latch so that the spare part does not move. See Figure 8-134.
- Connect the power cable to the spare part. See Figure 8-135.
- Secure the power cable using a cable tie. See Figure 8-136.
- (Optional) If only one power module is configured, power on the quorum server.

This section describes how to replace an AC power module.
Prerequisites

Procedure
- (Optional) If only one power module is configured, power off the quorum server.
- Remove the AC power module.
- Undo the velcro strap that secures the power cable. See Figure 8-137.
- Remove the power cable from the power module to be replaced. See Figure 8-138.
- Press the spring on the power module in the arrow direction, and pull the power module out of the slot while holding the handle. See steps (1) and (2) in Figure 8-139.
- Place the removed power module in an ESD bag.
- Install the AC power module.
- Take the spare part out of its ESD bag.
- Push the spare part along the guide rails into a slot until you hear a click.Spare part spring snaps into the latch so that the spare part does not move. See Figure 8-140.
- Connect one end of the power cable to the cable port on the AC power module of the server. See Figure 8-141.
- Secure the power cable using a velcro strap. See Figure 8-142.
- (Optional) If only one power module is configured, power on the quorum server.
