Failure of Site B
This section describes how the 3DC network handles the failure of site B and how it restores to the original state before the failure. (Assume that the network topology is A-B-C, HyperMetro is deployed between sites A and B, and remote replication is deployed between sites B and C.)
DR Mechanism
When site B fails, site A automatically takes over services. After the takeover, data generated at site A cannot be replicated to site C.
Restoration
When site B recovers and the HyperMetro LUNs and configurations are normal, the storage system at site A automatically synchronizes the differential data to the storage system at site B. Then remote replication copies the data from site B to site C.
