Removing a LUN
This section describes how to remove a LUN from a 3DC deployment.
Context
If the member of the PG is a LUN group, remove LUNs by following instructions in this section. If the members of the PG are individual LUNs, choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > Protection Groups and remove LUNs from the PG in the same way.
Where To Perform
For DR Star trios set up by HyperMetro and HyperReplication/A, perform this operation on the primary device of the active remote replication relationship. The system will automatically remove LUNs from the other two devices.
Procedure
- Choose Services > Block Service > LUN Groups.
- Click More on the right of the desired LUN group and choose Remove LUN.
The Remove LUN page is displayed on the right.
- Select one or more LUNs from Available LUNs.
- Click OK.
The Remove LUN dialog box is displayed.
- Select or deselect Run Later as required.
Run Later is selected by default. If this option is selected, the system removes the pair from the CG after synchronization is completed.
- Select or deselect Remove LUN from Remote LUN Group as required.
By default, only local LUNs are removed. If you select Remove LUN from Remote LUN Group, remote LUNs are removed at the same time.
- Select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation and click OK.
