Configuring ETH Management Interface Attributes
Context
The ETH0/0/0 management interface is a special Ethernet interface that allows users to log in to the device to perform configuration and management operations. It can be assigned an IP address. The ETH management interface does not transmit services.
For details on how to log in to the device through the management interface, see S7700 V200R019C10 Configuration Guide - Basic Configuration.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run interface ethernet 0/0/0
The ETH management interface view is displayed.
Run undo negotiation auto
The ETH management interface is configured to work in non-auto-negotiation mode.
By default, the ETH management interface works in auto-negotiation mode.
When the management interface works in auto-negotiation mode, the rate and duplex mode cannot be configured on the interface.
Interfaces at both ends of a link must use the same auto-negotiation mode. The interfaces cannot communicate with each other if they use different auto-negotiation modes.
Run speed { 10 | 100 }
The rate is configured for the ETH management interface.
By default, the ETH management interface works at the maximum rate of 100 Mbit/s.
Run duplex { full | half }
The duplex mode is configured for the ETH management interface.
By default, the ETH management interface works in full-duplex mode.
