File Management
Context
Procedure
- Upload files.
You can upload local files to a switch.
- Download files.
You can download files from the switch to a local device.
- Move files to the recycle bin.
After files are moved to the recycle bin, they still exist on the switch. You can restore the files in the recycle bin.
- Choose File Management tab. and click the
- Select the file to be deleted.
- Click Delete.
- Click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.
- Delete files permanently.
You can permanently delete files from the switch.
The files deleted permanently cannot be restored.
- Choose File Management tab. and click the
- Select the file to be deleted.
- Click Delete Permanently.
- Click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.
- Restore files.
You can restore the files in the recycle bin to the storage device.
- Choose File Management tab. and click the
- Select the file to be restored.
- Click Restore File to restore the file. The file will be removed from the recycle bin.
- Delete files from the recycle bin.
The files in the recycle bin still occupy storage space. You can delete unnecessary files permanently from the recycle bin to save the storage space.
- Choose File Management tab. and click the
- Select the file to be deleted permanently.
- Click Delete Permanently.
- Click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.
System Time
Context
Generally, the daylight saving time (DST) is configured in the summer, and the DST ranges from one day to one year. Therefore, the end time of daylight saving time must be more than one day but less than one year later than the start time.
To ensure effective communication between the switch and other devices, set the system time correctly.
Procedure
- Time Zone Settings
- Date and Time Settings
Choose System Time tab, as shown in Figure 7-31.
and click theCurrent system time displays the current date and time.
- Automatic synchronization
- Click Auto.
- Set NTP server IP address and click Add to specify a remote NTP server.
- Click Apply to complete the configuration.
- Manual setting
- Click Manual.
- Set Date and Time.
- Click Apply to complete the configuration.
The new date and time is displayed.
- If the new time is 10 minutes later or 720 hours earlier than the scheduled reboot time, the system will display a message as shown in Figure 7-33, asking whether you want to disable the scheduled restart function.
- If the system time is changed to no more than 10 minutes later than the scheduled restart time, the system will display a message as shown in Figure 7-34, asking whether you want to restart the device immediately.
- Automatic synchronization
System Info
Procedure
- Choose System Info tab, as shown in Figure 7-35. and click the
Table 7-16 describes the parameters on the System Info page.
- Set the parameters.
- Click Apply to complete the configuration.
Initialization
Context
After you click Initialization, all the configurations that you have made on the switch will be deleted and cannot be restored. The original management IP address becomes invalid and the web system is unavailable. Use a serial cable to connect to console interface of the switch and your PC to reconfigure the switch.
Procedure
- Restore the factory settings.
- Reset the Boot password.
- Choose Initialization tab, as shown in Figure 7-36. and click the
- Click Reset Root Password to restore the BootLoad password or BootROM password to default values.
- Click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.
Service Management
Procedure
- Configure the Telnet service.
- Configure the STelnet service.
- Choose Service Management tab, as shown in Figure 7-37. and click the
- Set the STelnet status to ON or OFF.
- Click Apply and click OK in the displayed dialog box to enable or disable the STelnet service.
- Configure the SFTP service.
- Choose Service Management tab, as shown in Figure 7-37. and click the
- Set the SFTP status to ON or OFF.
- Click Apply and click OK in the displayed dialog box to enable or disable the SFTP service.
Greeting Configuration
Procedure
- Choose Greeting configuration tab, as shown in Figure 7-38. and click the
- Enter greetings in the text box.
The value of Greeting is a string of 1 to 242 characters.
- Click Preview to preview the greeting on the web page.
- Click Apply. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK.
