SEP/4/LSA_NUM_REACH_MAX
Message
SEP/4/LSA_NUM_REACH_MAX:The number of LSAs in the SEP segment reached the upper limit.(segment ID=[ULONG], LSA number=[ULONG])
Description
The number of Link State Advertisements (LSAs) on the SEP segment reached the upper limit.
Parameters
Parameter Name | Parameter Meaning |
---|---|
segment ID |
ID of the SEP segment |
LSA number |
Number of LSAs |
SEP/6/MSI_LESS_MSN
SEP/3/PREEMPT_REQ_FAIL
Message
SEP/3/PREEMPT_REQ_FAIL:Preemption failed because the number of preempt request packets reached the upper limit. (preempt number=[ULONG])
Description
Preemption failed because the number of preemption request packets reached the upper limit.
SEP/6/RCV_CFM_FAULT
Message
SEP/6/RCV_CFM_FAULT:The SEP receives an error notification from the CFM. (Segment ID=[ULONG], Port Name=[STRING], Fault State=[STRING])
Description
After the SEP segment was associated with CFM, CFM sends a fault notification to the SEP segment through the OAM module when detecting a connectivity fault or a fault recovery event.
Parameters
Parameter Name | Parameter Meaning |
---|---|
Segment ID | ID of the SEP segment |
Port Name | Name of the interface added to the SEP segment |
Fault State | Fault state |
SEP/5/SEP_SET_PORT_DISCARD
Message
SEP/5/SEP_SET_PORT_DISCARD:The port has been set to the discarding state. (SegmentID=[ULONG], InterfaceName=[STRING], Reason=[STRING])
Parameters
Parameter Name | Parameter Meaning |
---|---|
SegmentID | ID of the SEP segment |
InterfaceName | Name of the interface added to the SEP segment |
Reason | Reason why the port entered the Discarding state:
|
Possible Causes
- SEP port enable: The port was added to an SEP segment.
- SEP port priority change: The SEP port priority changed.
- SEP port link-up: The port went Up.
- SEP port link-down: The port went Down.
- SEP port hello fail timer expired: The Hello Fail Timer timed out on the port.
- SEP port received neighbour packet: The port received a neighbor Down or Up packet.
- SEP brother port's LSA information change: The LSA information of the port's brother port changed.
- SEP neighbour port disable: The port's neighbor port left the SEP segment.
- SEP loop detected: No blocked port was detected in the SEP segment.
- SEP port preempt: The port was preempted.
Procedure
- Check physical devices on the network to see whether a
new SEP-enabled physical link is added.
If a new physical link has been added, go to Step 2.
If no new physical link has been added, go to Step 3.
- Check whether the added physical link is needed.
If the added physical link is needed, this trap message is informational only, and no action is required.
If the added physical link is not needed, go to Step 4.
- Check whether any port added to the SEP segment goes Up
or Down.
If a port added to the SEP segment has gone Up or Down, this trap message is informational only, and no action is required.
If no port added to the SEP segment has gone Up or Down, go to Step 4.
- Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
SEP/5/SEP_SET_PORT_FORWARD
Message
SEP/5/SEP_SET_PORT_FORWARD:The port has been set to the forwarding state. (SegmentID=[ULONG], InterfaceName=[STRING], Reason=[STRING])
Parameters
Parameter Name | Parameter Meaning |
---|---|
SegmentID | ID of the SEP segment |
InterfaceName | Name of the interface added to the SEP segment |
Reason | Reason why the port entered the Forwarding state:
|
Possible Causes
- SEP port disable: The port was removed from an SEP segment.
- SEP port priority change: The SEP port priority changed.
- SEP brother port's LSA information change: The LSA information of the port's brother port changed.
- SEP port received discarding port's LSA information: The port received LSA information of a blocked port in the SEP segment.
