BFD/3/ADDRCV_ERR
BFD/6/CREATE_SESS_ERR
Message
BFD/6/CREATE_SESS_ERR:Failed to create BFD session. It will be created again later. (ConfigurationName=[STRING])
Parameters
Parameter Name | Parameter Meaning |
---|---|
ConfigurationName | indicates the configuration name of the BFD session. |
Possible Causes
An error occurs during the setup of the BFD session. The possible causes are as follows:
1. Failed to choose a master process board.
2. The number of BFD sessions reached the upper limit specified in the PAF.
Procedure
- Run the display bfd session command to check whether the BFD session
is created.
(1) If so, go to Step 5.
(2) If not, go to Step 2.
- Run the display bfd statistics command to check whether the number of
BFD sessions reaches the upper limit.
(1) If so, delete redundant BFD sessions.
(2) If not, go to Step 3.
- Run the display device command to check the type of the interface board
and check whether the board supports BFD.
(1) If yes, go to Step 4.
(2) If not, replace an interface board that supports BFD.
- Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
- End.

BFD/4/IO_REACH_SESSLMT
Message
BFD/4/IO_REACH_SESSLMT:The number of sessions on the slot had reached upper limit, new session bound on this interface board could not be created! (SlotNumber=[STRING])
Description
The number of sessions bound to an interface reached the upper limit. No more sessions bound to the interface can be created.

BFD/3/REALTIME_CFG_ERR
Message
BFD/3/REALTIME_CFG_ERR:Failed to backup the configuration entry in realtime! (BfdName=[STRING], ErrorCode=[ULONG])
Description
Failed to back up configuration entries in real time. (Error codes: The value 0 is returned when configuration entries are backed up successfully; error types are returned when configuration entries are backed up unsuccessfully.)
BFD/4/STACHG_DWNTOUP
Message
BFD/4/STACHG_DWNTOUP:BFD session changed from Down to Up. (SlotNumber=[STRING], Discriminator=[ULONG], Applications=[STRING], BindInterfaceName=[STRING], ProcessPST=[STRING])
Description
Configured a WTR timer and the status of a BFD session on a certain interface board changed from Down to Up.
Parameters
Parameter Name | Parameter Meaning |
---|---|
SlotNumber |
indicates the slot number of the interface board on which the status of a BFD session changed. |
Discriminator |
indicates the discriminator of a session of which the status changes. |
Applications |
indicates the application that is bound to the BFD session. |
BindInterfaceName |
indicates the name of the bound interface. |
ProcessPST |
indicates the flag bit of the PST that is modified. |

Message
BFD/4/STACHG_TODWN:BFD session changed to Down. (SlotNumber=[STRING], Discriminator=[ULONG], Diagnostic=[STRING], Applications=[STRING], ProcessPST=[STRING], BindInterfaceName=[STRING], InterfacePhysicalState=[STRING], InterfaceProtocolState=[STRING])
Parameters
Parameter Name | Parameter Meaning |
---|---|
SlotNumber |
indicates the slot number of an interface board. |
Discriminator |
indicates the discriminator of a session. |
Diagnostic |
Indicates the type of the Down state. The values are as follows:
|
Applications |
indicates the application that is bound to the BFD session. |
ProcessPST |
indicates the flag bit of the PST that is modified. |
BindInterfaceName |
indicates the name of the bound interface. |
InterfacePhysicalState |
indicates the physical status of the interface. |
InterfaceProtocolState |
indicates the protocol status of the interface. |
Possible Causes
The BFD session was Down because a BFD session on an interface board did not receive corresponding BFD packets within a detection period.
Procedure
- Run the display bfd session all command to check whether the BFD session status is restored automatically.
(1) If so, go to Step 6.
(2) If not, go to Step 2.
- Run the display current-configuration configuration bfd command to check whether one end of the link is not enabled with BFD.
(1) If BFD is disabled, enable BFD and then go to Step 1.
(2) If BFD is enabled, go to Step 3.
- Run the display bfd session all command on both ends to check whether the BFD session is deleted.
(1) If so, go to Step 5.
(2) If not, go to Step 4.
- Run the ping ip-addr command to check whether the link detected by the BFD session fails to forward traffic.
(1) If so, go to Step 5.
(2) If not, go to Step 6.
- Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
- End.
