The switch needs to work with a NetStream server, for example, a server with Huawei eSight network management software installed.

NetStream is a basic feature of a switch and is not under License control.

For S12700 and S12700E series switches, only E series cards (except ET1D2X48SEC0 card) and X series cards support NetStream.
Feature Limitations
- The NetStream and IP Source Trail functions conflict with each other. If the IP Source Trail function has been configured on a device, the NetStream function cannot be configured. To enable the IP Source Trail function, you must disable the NetStream function first. To enable the NetStream function, you must disable the IP Source Trail function first. For the configuration of IP Source Trail, see Configuring IP Source Trail in "IPSG Configuration" in the Configuration Guide - Security of the corresponding version.
- Only V9 supports the NetStream interface index mapping function.
- When you configure the function of collecting outgoing NetStream flow statistics on an interface of switch, if the version number of exported packets is V5, the switch can only be managed by Huawei's NMS.
