Licensing Requirements and Limitations for NQA
Involved Network Elements
Other network elements are not required.
Licensing Requirements
On the S12700 series switches, the NQA function is under license control and is unavailable by default. To use this function on the S12700 series switches, apply for and purchase the license from the equipment supplier. The NQA commands can be run on any switch, but the NQA function takes effect only when a License is loaded. On the S12700E series switches, the NQA function is not under license control.
For details about how to apply for a license, see Obtaining Licenses in the S12700 and S12700E Series Agile Switches License Usage Guide.
Feature Support in V200R019C10
All models of S12700 and S12700E series switches support NQA.
Feature Limitations
- If the number of running test instances reaches the maximum number supported by the system, the start command will fail.
- If you need to run the start now command for a test instance again, ensure that the last operation has been complete.
- If you specify that a test instance starts to run on schedule, ensure that the specified time is later than the current system time; otherwise, the configuration is invalid.
- In V200R006 and earlier versions, X1E cards do not support PWE3 Ping and PWE3 Trace tests. In V200R005, X1E cards do not support LSP Ping, LSP Jitter, and LSP Trace tests.
- SA series cards do not support LSP Ping, LSP Jitter, LSP Trace, PWE3 Ping, or PWE3 Trace test.
