Functions Overview
Huawei defines HUAWEI-L2VLAN-MIB. This MIB is used to set the information such as the basic information of the VLAN and the relationship between the VLAN and ports. This MIB supports the following functions:
Querying the status of the VLAN
Encapsulating with the layer 2 tag on the QinQ port
Setting and modifying VLAN replacement
Setting and modifying the super-VLAN
Setting port isolation
The OID of root objects is:
iso(1).org(3).dod(6).internet(1).private(4).enterprises(1).huawei(2011).huaweiMgmt(5).hwDatacomm(25).hwL2Mgmt(42).hwL2Vlan(3)
The dynamic VLAN does not support the operation by using a MIB.
Relationship Between Tables
Figure 72-1 shows the relationship between the hwL2VlanMIBTable, hwL2VlanStackingTable, hwL2VlanMappingTable, and hwSuperVlanTable. The VLAN IDs of the indexes in the tables must be created VLAN index values.

Creation Restriction
The record of the unused VLAN with the index from 1 to 4094 can be created in the table.
Modification Restriction
In case that no port is associated with the common VLAN, you can set the common VLAN to the super-VLAN.
After you set the super-VLAN to the common VLAN, the type of all related sub-VLANs is automatically changed to the common VLAN.
The super-VLAN and sub-VLAN cannot be changed to each other.
Deletion Restriction
The record in this table can be deleted. After the super-VLAN is deleted, the association with all related sub-VLANs is deleted. The type of the sub-VLANs is changed to common VLAN.
Access Restriction
None.

In this table, the VLAN lists can be modified. The low 2048 bits and the high 2048 bits of the VLAN lists are the character strings with 256 bytes. Eight bits of each byte in the character string correspond to eight VLAN IDs. Therefore, the low 2048 bits and high 2048 bits of the VLAN list correspond to 4096 VLAN IDs.
The first bit and the 4096th bit respectively correspond to VLAN 0 and VLAN 4095. Other bits are in one-to-one corresponding to other VLAN IDs. VLAN 0 and VLAN 4095 are reserved; therefore, these two bits are fixedly 0 and cannot be modified.

The subnet-based VLANs are divided based on the source IP addresses and subnet masks in the packets. After receiving untagged packets through an interface, a device determines the VLANs to which the packets belong according to their source addresses before sending them to corresponding VLANs. This feature is used to send the packets from the specified network segment or IP address over the specified VLAN.
The entire equipment can be configured with 256 sub-VLANs and each VLAN can be configured with 12 sub-VLANs.

Creation Restriction
The entries can be created in this table.
Protocol-based VLANs are divided based on the protocols in packets. After receiving untagged packets through an interface, a device determines the VLANs to which the packets belong according to their protocols before sending them to corresponding VLANs. This feature is used to send the packets of specified protocols within the specified VLAN.

After a client sent the server a VCMP request packet due to a restart or a configuration change, the left-most 16 bits in the configuration revision number in a received VCMP packet are the same as that of the local version number, whereas, the right-most 16 bits are greater than the local ones. After this trap is displayed, VLAN information on the server cannot be sent to the clients in the same VCMP domain. To rectify the fault, reconfigure the server to ensure that the configurations are complete and correct. |
