HUAWEI-SEP-MIB
Functions Overview
Smart Ethernet Protection (SEP) is a link layer protocol dedicated to Ethernet rings. After SEP is configured on a Layer 2 network, the loop protection mechanism is started. SEP selectively blocks interfaces, thus eliminating redundant links on the network. When a link on the ring network fails, a device running SEP immediately unblocks a blocked interface and performs link switchover to restore communication between nodes on the ring network.
HUAWEI-SEP-MIB is used to query global SEP configurations, SEP segment configurations, and configurations of interfaces added to SEP segments, and display SEP network topologies.
