Functions Overview
HUAWEI-MSTP-MIB is developed by Huawei, which provides information and configuration of the Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) for query.
This MIB provides the following functions:
Information query and enablement status of MSTP and MST region
Query for the relationship between the multiple spanning tree instances (MSTIs) and VLANs
Information query and configuration of the MSTIs and the ports
The OID of root objects is:
iso(1).org(3).dod(6).internet(1).private(4).enterprises(1).huawei(2011).huaweiMgmt(5).hwDatacomm(25).hwL2Mgmt(42).hwMstp(4).
Relationship Between Tables
Figure 89-1 shows the relationship between the hwMstpVIDAllocationTable, the hwMstpInstanceTable, and the hwMstpPortTable.
hwMstpVIDAllocationTable describes the relationship between VLAN and the MSTI. The information about each MSTI can be inquired in hwMstpInstanceTable. hwMstpInstanceID of hwMstpInstanceTable and hwMstpiPortIndex of hwMstpPortTable form the index of hwMstpPortTable.

Description of MIB Tables
hwMstpVIDAllocationTable
This table describes the relationship between VLANs and the MSTIs.
When VLAN is used to configure an MSTI, the MSTI is only a management instance of VLAN without effect. Only when the management configuration is activated by using a command, the management instance can become an effective one.
The index of this table is hwMstpVID.

Deletion Restriction
The entries in this table can be deleted. To delete an instance ID, run the active region-configuration command in the mst-region mode.
Access Restriction
If no other MSTI is configured, this table accesses related information about the default MSTI0.
To access the information about a new MSTI, run the active region-configuration command in the mst-region mode.
