RIP
RIP_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.120.3.1 hwRip2DBOverFlow
Description
RIP/2/DBOVERFLOW:OID [oid] The number of routes on RIP process reached the upper threshold, and thus the RIP process was suspended. (ProcTableIndex=[INTEGER], ProcessId=[INTEGER], DataBaseLimit=[GAUGE])
There has been maximum number of routes added to RIP database for the given process and no more routes can be added to RIP by redistribution or by learning.
Attribute
Alarm ID | Alarm Severity | Alarm Type |
---|---|---|
1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.120.3.1 | Major | processingErrorAlarm (4) |
Parameters
Name | Meaning |
---|---|
oid |
Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm. |
ProcTableIndex |
Indicates the index of the process table. |
ProcessId |
Indicates the current process ID. |
DataBaseLimit |
Indicates the current database limit. |
Impact on the System
This notification is generated when the number of routes added to RIP database reaches maximum value. RIP process will be suspended at this state.
RIP_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.120.3.2 hwRip2DBOverFlowResume
Description
RIP/2/DBOVERFLOWRESUME:OID [oid] The number of routes reached the lower threshold, and thus RIP process recovered from the suspension state and resumed processing packets. (ProcTableIndex=[INTEGER], ProcessId=[INTEGER], DataBaseLimit=[GAUGE], ThresholdLevel=[OCTET])
The RIP database size has dropped to the lower threshold from frozen state and allowed routes can be added to RIP by redistribution or by learning.
