ERPS/2/FWSTATEDISCARDING:OID [oid] The state of ERPS port was changed to discarding. (RingId=[INTEGER], InterfaceIndex=[INTEGER], InterfaceName=[OCTET])
An interface added to an ERPS ring entered the Discarding state.

Possible Causes
- A new link was added to the ERPS ring.
- An interface went Up or Down.
Procedure
- Check physical devices on the network to see whether a
new ERPS-enabled physical link was added.
If a new physical link was added, go to Step 2.
If no new physical link was added, go to Step 3.
- Check whether the added physical link is required.
If the added physical link is required, this trap message is informational only and no action is required.
If the added physical link is not required, go to Step 4.
- Check whether an interface added to the ERPS ring went
Up or Down.
If an interface added to the ERPS ring went Up or Down, this trap message is informational only and no action is required.
If no interface added to the ERPS ring went Up or Down, go to Step 4.
- Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
