RRPP_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.113.4.3 hwRrppMultiMaster
Description
RRPP/2/MULMAST:OID [oid] A conflicting master node was detected on RRPP domain [domain-id] ring [ring-id].
The RRPP ring had more than one master node.
Attribute
Alarm ID | Alarm Severity | Alarm Type |
---|---|---|
1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.113.4.3 | Major | processingErrorAlarm(4) |
Parameters

oid |
Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm. |
domain-id |
Indicates the ID of an RRPP domain. |
ring-id |
Indicates the ID of an RRPP ring. |
Impact on the System
The configuration is incorrect. The RRPP ring will fail if it has multiple master nodes.
Possible Causes
The RRPP ring had more than one master node. As a result, service traffic is interrupted.
Procedure
- Run the display rrpp verbose domain domain-id command to check whether multiple master
nodes exist on the RRPP ring.
If so, go to Step 2.
If not, go to Step 3.
- Update configurations of the devices that should not be
configured as master nodes as follows:
Run the undo ring ringid enable command and then the undo ring ringid command to delete configurations of the devices that should not be configured as master nodes. Where, the ringid is the ID of the RRPP ring that has error master nodes.
Run the ring ringid node-mode command to reconfigure the master node as required.
Run the ring ringid enable command to re-activate the RRPP loop.
If so, go to Step 4.
If not, go to Step 3.
