Forcibly Specifying a Clock Source
Context
By default, the system uses the automatic clock source selection algorithm to determine the clock source to be traced. You can also forcibly specify the clock source to be traced based on the clock source quality.
- The clock synchronization function must be enabled on the clock source to be forcibly specified.
- The system clock enters the tracing state only when the clock source is normal and its SSM quality level is not DNU. Otherwise, the system clock enters the hold state.
- If the forcibly specified clock source becomes invalid, the system clock enters the hold state. After the forcibly specified clock source is recovered, the system clock re-traces the forcibly specified clock source. After the switch is restarted, it continues to work in forcible mode.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run clock force source { ptp slot slot-id | interface interface-type interface-number }
