Limiting the Number of Local Dynamic Sessions
Limiting the Number of Local Dynamic Sessions
Prerequisites
All basic NTP functions have been configured.
Context
In both unicast client/server mode and symmetric peer
mode, connections are established using command lines. These connections
are static sessions. Dynamic sessions are established in broadcast
mode and
multicast mode. Configured limits on the number of local dynamic
sessions are enforced.
The ntp-service max-dynamic-sessions command does not
affect existing NTP sessions. When the number of local dynamic NTP
sessions exceeds the limit, new sessions cannot be established.
Procedure
Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
Run ntp-service max-dynamic-sessionsnumber
The number of local
dynamic sessions that can be established is configured.
By default, a maximum of 100 NTP dynamic sessions can be
established.
Verifying the Configuration
Run the display current-configuration | include ntp command to view the number of local dynamic
sessions that can be established.
