Displaying Alarm Information
Context
When a device becomes faulty, you can run the following commands to view historical alarms and existing alarms, which can be useful for troubleshooting or learning about the device running status.
Procedure
- Run the display trapbuffer command to view the alarms recently generated on the device. Alarms are recorded into a log file. You can view the log file to check historical alarms.
- Run the display alarm active command to view the alarms that are not cleared after the device starts.
- Run the display alarm history command to view the historical alarms that are recorded after the device starts.
- Run the display alarm urgent [ slot slot-id | time interval ] command to view alarms about hardware management.
