Configuring the Manual Clock Source Selection Mode
Context
By default, the switch uses the automatic clock source selection algorithm to determine the clock source to be traced. You can also manually specify the clock source to be traced based on the clock source quality.
In manual mode:
- A manually specified clock source takes effect only when the clock source is in the normal or holdoff state and the SSM quality level of the clock source is the highest. To view the clock source status, run the display clock source command.
- If a manually specified clock source becomes invalid, the switch works in automatic clock source selection mode. After the manually specified clock source is restored, the switch continues to use the automatic clock source selection mode, even after it is restarted.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run clock manual source { ptp slot slot-id | interface interface-type interface-number }
The clock source to be traced is manually specified.
By default, the system uses the automatic clock source selection algorithm to determine the clock source to trace.
