Enabling the PoE Function
Context
Ensure that the PoE function is enabled on an interface before powering on a PD connected to the interface.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
- Run poe enable
The PoE function is enabled on the interface.
By default, the PoE function is enabled on interfaces.
If you run the shutdown command to shut down a PoE-enabled interface, the power supply for the interface is not affected. To stop power supply for the interface, run the undo poe enable command in the interface view.
