Displaying the Temperature
Context
If the device temperature is too high or too low, the hardware may be damaged. To learn about the current device temperature, use the following command.
How Can I Determine Whether the Device Temperature Is too High?
The device temperature is too high if high temperature alarm is generated on the device. The system adjusts the fan speed automatically to help ensure that the device temperature is within the normal range.
The temperature range of a device varies according to device models. For details, see "Specifications" in the Hardware Description - Chassis.

Why Is a High Temperature Alarm Generated and How Can I Clear It?
Possible Causes
Air ventilation around the device is insufficient or obstructed.
The ambient temperature of the device is too high.
The number of fans on the device is insufficient.
A fan on the device is faulty.
The chip temperature is too high.
Troubleshooting Procedure
Clean the air vent and check whether the alarm is cleared.
If the fault persists, go to step 2.
Check whether the ambient temperature of the device is too high.
If the ambient temperature is too high, take appropriate measures to lower the temperature.
If the fault persists, go to step 3.
Check whether fans are installed in the fan slots.
Add more fans if fan slots are available.
If the fault persists, go to step 4.
Check whether a fan is faulty.
Run the display fan command to check the status of fans and replace any faulty fans.
If the fault persists, go to step 5.
Check the chip temperature of cards.
Run the display temperature all command to view the chip temperature of each card on the device and take appropriate measures if required.
If the fault persists, go to step 6.
