Deploying Zero Touch Devices Using the Commander
There are two methods for deploying zero touch devices using the Commander, depending on whether the network topology collection function is enabled on the Commander.
When the network topology collection function is enabled, users do not need to manually collect such information as device's MAC address or ESN; the Commander automatically collects device information and assigns client IDs to devices to bind device information with devices.
When the network topology collection function is disabled, users need to manually collect each device's MAC address or ESN and specify the binding relationship between client ID and device.
Pre-configuration Tasks
Before deploying zero touch devices using the Commander, complete the following tasks:
If the network topology collection function is disabled:
Ensure that reachable routes exist between the DHCP server, file server, Commander, and clients with IP addresses assigned.
Collect each zero touch device's MAC address or ESN by viewing the barcode label on the device.
If the network topology collection function is enabled:
Ensure that reachable routes exist between the DHCP server, file server, Commander, and clients with IP addresses assigned.
Power on and start the clients.
Procedure
Perform the following operations in sequence.
