Checking System Status
This section describes how to check system status and ensure that the status of all components you do not intend to replace is normal.
Procedure
- Log in to the SVP.
- Run SmartKit.
- On the SVP desktop, double-click the SmartKit icon.
The login page is displayed.
- Enter the user name and password, and click Log In.
The user name and password are admin and the corresponding password of OceanStor DeviceManager. The default password is Admin@storage.
- On the SVP desktop, double-click the SmartKit icon.
- Choose Routine Maintenance > Health Check.
- On the Health Check page, perform a health check in the sequence of Device Selection, Inspection, Information Collection, and then Disk Health Analysis, as shown in Figure 5-1.
- Click Device Selection. The Select Devices page is displayed, as shown in Figure 5-2.
- Click OK, go back to the Health Check page, and click Inspection, as shown in Figure 5-3.
- On the Select Check Items page, select check items, as shown in Figure 5-4. Then click Next.
- On the Start Inspection page, view the inspection progress, as shown in Figure 5-5.
- Open the result directory: It links to the path that saves inspection reports. The default path is My Documents.
- View the report: It links to an .html file that contains details about inspection results. The file is also compressed and saved to the path of inspection reports.
- When the progress is 100%, click Finish and go back to the Health Check page, as shown in Figure 5-6.
- (Optional) Perform Information Collection and Disk Health Analysis based on your service requirements. The health check is complete.
If there are items that fail the inspection, rectify the faults based on the suggestions listed in the inspection result report.
