Downloading and Installing the Latest FRU Tool

Before replacing parts, download and install the latest FRU tool.

1. Download the FRU Replacement tool package. If the FRU Replacement tool package has been downloaded, go to 4.
   • You can use a terminal that can access the Internet to download [Tool package] FRU Replacement and copy it to the SVP.
   • You can also export the function package from another SmartKit environment and copy it to the SVP. For details, see section Function Export in the SmartKit User Guide.
   • If you are an enterprise user:
     1. Use the maintenance terminal to log in to https://support.huawei.com/enterprise. In the search box on the home page, type SmartKit and choose Cloud Storage > Tools and Platform > SmartKit from the drop-down list. The search result page is displayed.
     2. On the search result page, click the Software Download tab.
     3. On the Software Download tab page, click the SmartKit version that you want to download. The page for downloading the software is displayed.
     4. In the Version and Patch Software area, download the software [Tool package] FRU Replacement you need.
   • If you are a carrier user:
     1. Use the maintenance terminal to log in to https://support.huawei.com. In the search box on the home page, type SmartKit and choose Carrier Cloud & Data Center > Intelligent Data & Storage > Storage Common > SmartKit from the drop-down list. The search result page is displayed.
     2. On the search result page, click the Software tab.
     3. On the Software tab page, click the SmartKit version that you want to download. The page for downloading the software is displayed.
     4. In the Software area, download the software [Tool package] FRU Replacement you need.

2. Log in to the SVP.
3. Run SmartKit.
   1. On the SVP desktop, double-click the SmartKit icon.

      The login page is displayed.

   2. Enter the user name and password, and click Log In.

      The user name and password are admin and the corresponding password of OceanStor DeviceManager. The default password is Admin@storage.

4. Install the FRU Replacement tool package.
   1. On SmartKit, click Function Management.
   2. In the function pane, click Import and select the FRU Replacement tool package for import and installation.
