Installing a PSU on a DIN Rail in a Cabinet
Context
Do not install power cables while the power is on.
Before the installation, ensure that:
The DIN rail is secured.
The power module to be installed is ready and placed near the DIN rail for easy transportation.
Preparing Tools and Accessories
ESD wrist strap
Phillips screwdriver
M3 screw
DIN guide rail
60 W industrial AC PSU
The 60 W industrial AC PSU is not included in the installation accessory package and needs to be purchased separately.
Procedure
- Wear an ESD wrist strap.
For details, see ESD Protection.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to fix the DIN mounting kit to the rear panel of the power module with M3 screws.
- Align the rear panel of the power module with the front of the DIN rail, and ensure that the DIN rail fits into the gap between the fixture near the top of the DIN mounting kit and the spring latch near the bottom.
- Keep the bottom of the power module away from the guide rail, and place the hook of the DIN mounting kit on the top of the DIN rail.
- Slowly push the spring latch at the bottom of the DIN mounting kit towards the DIN rail until it snaps into place.
If the spring latch is difficult to move, you can hold the spring latch at the bottom to facilitate installation.
- Install the DIN rail with the PSU in the required cabinet.
