Deleting a Clone Pair
This section describes how to delete a clone pair. After the clone pair is deleted, pair relationship between the source object and the target LUN will be removed.
Prerequisites
- The clone pair is not added to any clone CG.
- Health Status of the clone pair is Normal.
- Running Status of the clone pair is Unsynchronized or Normal.
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > LUNs > Clone Pairs.
- Select the desired clone pair and click Delete.Confirm your operation as prompted.
Alternatively, perform any of the following operations to delete a clone pair:
- Click More on the right of the desired clone pair and select Delete.
- Click the name of the desired clone pair. In the upper right corner of the page that is displayed, click Operation and select Delete.
- Choose Services > Block Service > LUNs.
- Click the name of the desired LUN. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Select the desired clone pair and click Delete.
- Click the name of the desired LUN. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Click More on the right of the desired clone pair and select Delete.
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entities > LUNs > LUNs.
- Click the name of the desired LUN. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Select the desired clone pair and click Delete.
- Click the name of the desired LUN. On the page that is displayed, click the Protection tab and select Clone from the drop-down list. Click More on the right of the desired clone pair and select Delete.
- Click the value in the Clone Pairs column of the desired LUN if the value is not 0. On the Protection tab page, select Clone from the drop-down list. Select the desired clone pair and click Delete.
- Click the value in the Clone Pairs column of the desired LUN if the value is not 0. On the Protection tab page, select Clone from the drop-down list. Click More on the right of the desired clone pair and select Delete.
- Determine whether to select Delete target LUNs and Reclaim data in target LUNs.
- If you select Delete target LUNs, the system will remove the clone relationships between source and target LUNs and delete the target LUNs and data in the target LUNs.
- If you select Reclaim data in target LUNs, the system will remove the clone relationships between source and target LUNs, delete data in the target LUNs, and retain the target LUNs.
- If you do not select Delete target LUNs and Reclaim data in target LUNs, the system will remove the clone relationships between source and target LUNs and retain the target LUNs and data in the target LUNs.
- Confirm your operation as prompted.
