LUN Deletion Timeout
Symptom
After the LUN mapping is deleted from a LUN group, delete the LUN. In the dialog box that is displayed, State is Timeout.
Possible Causes
If the LUN mapping is deleted when the host is sending a write I/O request to the disk array, the write I/O cannot reach the disk array. As a result, the disk array resource allocated to the I/O cannot be released, causing LUN deletion timeout.
Procedure
- Wait about 10 minutes and click Refresh on the LUN page of DeviceManager to check whether the LUN is successfully deleted.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, keep the fault environment intact and contact technical support engineers.
