Enabling Soft Preemption for Tunnels
Context
A higher-priority CR-LSP can directly preempt resources assigned to a lower-priority CR-LSP. As a result, some traffic is dropped on the lower-priority CR-LSP. If the soft preemption function is enabled, it remains the lower-priority CR-LSP for a specified period of time. If the ingress node finds a new path for the lower-priority CR-LSP before the time elapses, it uses the make-before-break mechanism to reestablish the lower-priority CR-LSP over the new path. If the ingress node fails to find a new path till the time elapses, the lower-priority CR-LSP goes Down.
