Collecting and Viewing Statistics on MPLS TE Tunnel Interfaces
Context
To check the network status or locate network faults, you can enable traffic statistics collection on MPLS TE tunnel interfaces and collect traffic statistics on the MPLS TE tunnel interfaces.
- The traffic statistics collection period on an MPLS TE tunnel must be larger than 30s. Otherwise, the statistics are inaccurate.
- If traffic statistics collection is enabled on an MPLS TE tunnel interface and a VLANIF interface or a Layer 3 sub-interface on the tunnel, and the device receives packets with the MPLS TE tunnel interface as the next hop, the device only collects traffic statistics on the MPLS TE tunnel interface, but not on the VLANIF interface or Layer 3 sub-interface.
- In the Layer 3 virtual private network (L3VPN) over MPLS TE scenario, if traffic statistics collection is enabled for both MPLS TE tunnels and L3VPN, the function takes effect for MPLS TE traffic but not incoming L3VPN traffic.
- When multiple MPLS TE tunnels load balance traffic through ECMP or implement TE FRR, traffic statistics collection in the inbound direction of a TE tunnel becomes invalid.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run interface tunnel interface-number
The tunnel interface view of the MPLS TE tunnel is displayed.
- Run statistic enable
The traffic statistics collection on the MPLS TE tunnel interface is enabled.
By default, the traffic statistics collection is disabled on the MPLS TE tunnel interface.
- Run commit
The configuration is committed.
